Produktive Forms vs Microsoft Forms
Microsoft Forms is the convenient choice inside Microsoft 365. Produktive is for customer-facing forms that need branding, payments and AI.
The short version
Both are reasonable choices. Here is who each one fits.
Pick Microsoft Forms if
- Your organisation runs on Microsoft 365 and you want forms with no new vendor.
- You need a quick internal survey, quiz or sign-up with responses landing in Excel.
- Your IT team prefers tools covered by existing Microsoft agreements.
Pick Produktive if
- The form is customer-facing and should match your brand.
- You want payments, appointment booking or richer logic.
- You want AI to ask follow-ups and summarise responses.
Feature by feature
Produktive’s column comes from what the product does today. Microsoft Forms’s is our understanding of its public documentation, kept conservative where plans differ.

Where each one is stronger
Microsoft Forms
Where Microsoft Forms is stronger
Already in your Microsoft 365 licence
For many organisations there is nothing to buy or approve, and sign-in and sharing follow existing policies.
Excel, Teams and Power Automate fit
Responses flow into Excel, and Power Automate connects forms to a long list of Microsoft and third-party actions.
Compliance coverage
Covered by Microsoft’s broader compliance documentation, which procurement teams already know.
Quizzes and simple polls
Fast to build and share for classrooms, internal polls and quick checks.
Produktive
Where Produktive is stronger
Forms that look like your brand
Themes, covers and layouts including carousel, popup and slide-in, without vendor branding on higher plans.
Take payments and bookings
A Payment field for Stripe, Razorpay or Dodo Payments and an Appointment field for booking time slots, on Pro and above.
AI follow-ups and analysis
The AI Interviewer asks follow-ups on each answer. AI Insights returns a summary, sentiment split and themes with quotes.
Works for people outside your tenant
The direct link works with no account for respondents, and every plan has unlimited responses.
How the pricing is shaped
We describe the structure, not the numbers, because plans change often. Check each vendor for the current price.
Microsoft Forms
- Microsoft Forms is included with many Microsoft 365 plans and some free Microsoft accounts.
- There is generally no separate per-form or per-response charge; the cost is the Microsoft 365 subscription you already have.
- Capabilities and limits depend on your account type and plan.

Produktive Forms
- A free plan with up to 3 active forms and unlimited responses.
- Pro and Premium are priced per user, per month, with a discount for yearly billing.
- Pro adds payments, appointment booking and more AI credits; Premium removes the form cap and adds custom domain branding.
- Responses are never metered, on any plan.

Switch from Microsoft Forms in minutes
There is no one-click importer, so you rebuild the form and bring your data across.
- 01
Export from Microsoft Forms
Open the Responses tab in Microsoft Forms and choose to open the results in Excel.
- 02
Recreate the form
Describe it to the AI form builder, or start from one of 114+ templates and edit it in the same drag-and-drop editor.
- 03
Publish and reconnect
Share a link or embed with one script tag, then send responses to Google Sheets, Slack, Discord or a webhook.
Questions do not transfer automatically. Rebuild from a template or an AI draft, and if you still want an Excel copy, export CSV from produktive.
Questions, answered
Is produktive a good Microsoft Forms alternative?
For customer-facing forms that need branding, payments, booking and AI, yes. For internal surveys inside Microsoft 365, Microsoft Forms is usually the simpler choice.
Can I import Microsoft Forms into produktive?
There is no importer. Export results to Excel, then rebuild the form from a template or by describing it to the AI form builder.
Can I still get responses in Excel?
You can download CSV from produktive and open it in Excel. Live sync is built for Google Sheets.
Does produktive support quizzes with grading?
Not as a dedicated graded-quiz mode. For simple graded quizzes, Microsoft Forms is easier.
Does the respondent need an account?
No. The direct link to a published produktive form works without an account.
